Question 4 wheel or rear wheel ABS

I have a 2wd F150 and a Brembo catalog for after market rotors. I want front rotors but need to know whether I have 4 wheel or rear wheel ABS. How do I make this determination? Do I need to look behind the wheels?

Thanks much.

It might help if you tell what year your truck is and whether its a regular cab, extended cab, supercrew, etc.

Sorry. It's a 97 reg cab w/ full bed.

Also, I should checked back posts first. I found a thread "2 or 4 Wheel ABS" started this past February. In it, danny owens suggested locating a "rectangular aluminum block directly below your master cylinder with 1 line going in and 1 line going down and to the rear brakes. (RABS)."

I've just check under my hood and found two lines exiting the master cylinder; one going to the front wheels, the other going to the aluminum block below the master cylinder.

Only one line exits this aluminum block and routes toward the rear wheels.

I'm concluding I have RABS.

Thanks.

so how do you tell? I've read it was an option on xlt's. I have a early '99 f150 xlt scab with 4disc brakes. the sticker has brk code "c". Also how do you tell if it has 12mm or 14mm studs?

I have a 1998 F150, extended cab, 4 wheel drive, 63k.

I also need to know how to tell if I have 4 wheel ABS, or rear ABS.

Thanks!

In the early years,(97-98) front ABS was an option. Look at front brake line. If there is a wire going along side of it, then you have front ABS (it's the speed sensor wire). They all have rear ABS standard.
