intake?
my civic si that i own has an AEM Cold air intake and when i was researching all i had to worry about was cold air or hot air. Most everyone got the cold air because cold air to the engine increases horsepower. i loved the intake and it was loud. Now since im into truckin im lost. What is the "cream of the crop" for the F150s? --for intake, exhaust, headers, anything you want to add feel free. THanks again .. TRUCKIN

have an airforce one fipk on my 97 f150--easy install, top quality parts, looks good(chrome plated int. tube), and some(?) performance gains. no, on the flowmaster-you lose low end torque. best mod: the chip(but you have to use 93 octane fuel)--mpg went up, definitely faster, and shifts better.
btw, Johnny Lightning is offering a ram air intake for regularly aspirated 4.6 & 5.4 trucks.

"nothin' but a bunch a low-life white trash drinkin' too much cheap alcohol"
"I don't take s**t from guys who drive Lightnings," the cop said. "You're speedin' when you're sittin' on the parkin' ramp."
"some days you eat the bear and some days the bear eats you."

The K&N and Airforce aren't really cold air kits. Look at them, they are just sucking underhood air. The stock system is more of a cold air kit than either of those. That is why I kept the stock unit and modified it some. I think the Volant is the only aftermarket unit I've seen that is truly a cold air intake.

A cheap way is to install new pulleys. A set can be had for about $90 and you gain about 15 horses.
