JACOB's ELECTRTONICS IGNITION
 

I have recently decided to dump some cash into my gas guzzling 97 regular cab flareside 4x4, and I was wondering if anyone has installed an upgraded ignition system made by Jacob's Electronics. The system is know as the DIS Mileage Master, and retails for about 500. They make some great claims, but I want to hear it from one of us.

Thanks for the link! I wonder where he purchased the DIS for the truck. I called Jacobs, and they want 500. Gofish said he got it for 375 w/wires. Huh. I also read them talking about the chip. Sounds good, but I have a manual. Do you think this will affect the performance differences that I will see?

DON'T buy the unit direct from Jacobs! Summit has them cheaper.

I have a Jacobs on my '95 and it's great. It seems the older trucks benefit a little more, probably due to inferior stock components.

The only mod I can say has actually paid for itself, and is about to start putting money back in my pocket.

Summit's the place to go for the DIS and wires for $375.
