Borla's PowerSet for v-8 and v-10 Excursions
Just thought you all might be intrested in this topic for some performance gains.
Its called the Borla PowerSet, and its for the v-8 and v-10. The Borla Excursion PowerSet consists of a mandrel-bent,T304 aircraft-quality stainless exhaust system and a high performance muffler that exits through a Borla Dual Phantom exhaust tip. Improving airflow on the intake side is a washable and reusable Borla Performance high-flow air filter. (Same as a K&N) This system is very sweet looking, anyway here are the gains it made on a Dynojet rear-wheel Dyno. 2000 Ford Excursion 5.4L V-8 Rpm Stock Hp (Rear Wheel)with Borla on. 3,600 175.4-----------------182.9 3,700 179.6-----------------191.2 3,800 184.0-----------------192.7 3,900 188.0-----------------194.7 4,000 189.5-----------------203.3 4,100 191.1-----------------203.0 4,200 192.1-----------------203.8 4,300 191.2-----------------204.3 4,400 190.0-----------------205.0 4,500 188.4-----------------205.5 4,600 185.5-----------------204.9 4,800 194.2-----------------205.6 5,000 190.3-----------------199.2 At 5,000 Rpm the factory Rev limiter kicked in. They also said the most notable improvement with the PowerSet, other than a better overall sound, was improved throttle response across the Rpm range and a slight boost in fule economy, especially at freeway speeds with the cruise control locked.
