I'm looking at buying an F-150 with a 302. It has 150K miles. I'm worried about the milage and reliability of the truck. It's very clean inside and out. The engine is also very clean. I don't know much about Fords or the 302 engine. Can anyone out there tell me a little more about these engines and would you worry about 150K miles? I test drove it and it ran great and sounded great, but the 150K has got me worried. Thanks in advance...

 

The 302 is a good engine, but at 150 thousand miles the maintenance factors will come into the picture.

Factor in the cost of a rebuild and decide if the truck would be a good deal at that cost. That way you're covered regardless of how much more time you get out of the engine.
