loss of power

i have a 91 F-150 with a 4.9 liter 6. going down the freeway and lost power suddenly.... crawled home, now won't start. what would cause such a failure??

Clogged/dirty fuel filter? Broken coil/distributer--wire to them???

RE..... loss of power

thanks guys for the input, found that the fuel filter is the original, back in 91...... yikes. seems to run great now
