trying to put a 302 in a 1998 f150 with a 4.6L
I have a 98 f150 with a 4.6L. I want to put a 302 with a Holly 4brl carb. I just want some ideas. So if you have any please let me know. Like I said got the carb and 302. Just need a little help with install. I don't know if trans will mount to it or not.

trans wont mount, need custom motor mounts, custom electrical and all. it would be just as easy to put a chevy or a dodge engine in there thats how big a difference your looking at. There are a couple recent threads guys are talking about this swap and all.. oddly I've never seen where anyone finished it. They all seem to give up at some point..

I've fond memories of the 302, but I would go with a built 4.6L. They have proven to be highly reliable motors, as my Big Grey with 83,000 after a little over 3 years will attest...
Best engine of all time, I would have to say 300I6. My first truck (95 XL 8' bed) is still going strong at almost 300K, with no signs of stopping. Tranny gave out after only 72K but the motor is bone stock
