i am looking to buy a used f1/2/or 350 4x4 with a 5.0l manual to put in my 1984 Jeep CJ7. I'll use the drivetrain, tranny, tcase, axles, engine, and computer, looking for suggestions from one who's done this, or something similar

 

If you are referring to the pushrod 5.0 302, that was never available in the F350. It was available in the F150 and F250 in 1996 and earlier. The F150 used the light duty Mazda M5OD 5 speed, the F250 used the heavy duty ZF 5 speed. In older trucks, you may find a NP435, T18 or T19 4 speed.
