Rough Idle all of a sudden

I have a 2009 f-150 5.4. A few days ago I was parked in a subdivision talking to a superintendent. Truck in park idling fine. Then all of a sudden it started running real rough with what seams like a dead skip. My brother in law is a mechanic and used his computer to look at the data and it seams not to be injectors or coils. It is throwing a random misfire code p0300 and p0307 p0308. I did notice after I got home that there was a weird noise that seamed to be coming from the intake. Almost like a high powered squirt gun was shooting the inside of the intake that seams to consider with the skip. Amy ideas? Brother in Law thinks maybe something inside the intake has broken. Any body have any ideas?

I would check any hoses that attach to the intake.

P0307 is misfire #7, which is the 3rd one back from the front on the driver's side. You do need to check the spark plug - but you may have a cam follower that's slipped off. Discuss this with your B-I-L.

Will do, it is showing misfire in 7 and 8. Would the cam follower cause both to miss? I went back and read my post. Accidently put p0307 in a 2nd time instead of p0308.

Not unless a follower is off on both cylinders.

I would see if the spark plugs are loose - you may want to do a compression test - pull the driver's side cam cover and see if something is wrong in there.
