2002 mustang 4.6 to 1998 f150 swap
Hello,
i need some more advice. I have found a 2002 mustang 4.6 that I am looking to purchase for my 98 f150. Will the transmission from my 98 truck match up to 02 mustang? I am sure I would need exhaust manifolds, intake —and to reuse my coil packs on my 98. Am I missing anything? Would I need to swap my oil pan, pickup tube and timing cover? Will this all match up? Any advise would be very much appreciated!!

If they are both automatics, no need for any additional parts, Romeo/Windsor is not an issue. Use the flex plate that's on the Mustang engine, not the one on the truck motor. Easiest way to tell the difference is count the valve cover bolts. Romeo has 11, Windsor has 13 or 14.
I do not believe the VIN is on the engine.
You will need exhaust and intake manifolds from a late 01-03 F150 4.6. Your truck manifolds are not compatible with a PI engine.
