Motor swap compatibility?

Will a 2000 model 4.6 Ltr out of highway patrol car fit in my 97 f150 truck. And next question would be if there would be wiring issues?

It will fit. You may have to use your truck intake and exhaust manifolds, and there may be some wiring differences.

Does the patrol car have a bigger fuel delivery system as far as fuel rails and injectors?

No, the 2000 has a standard non-PI 4.6.

The patrol car with the motor has 240000 miles on it . I’m just wondering if it is already too much to mess with?
