2006 f150 5.4 problems

Hello all I'm new to the forum and really need some help. I have a 2006 f150 with the 5.4 right at 100k miles, I recently had the truck in for a plug and coil job that fixed a pretty prevalent misfire, plugs were destroyed and the guy had to pull the heads to get them out. Now that I've got it back it is totally gutless, the rpms will ramp up but the truck barely gets goin, and sometimes the engine dies when I put it in gear and idles rough, I have a check engine light that gives me a camshaft position sensor fault so I replaced the sensor but the light won't go away and won't clear. It does make noise like chattering cam phasers and I've been reading about the impact of bad vct solenoids, could it be either of those or could the mechanic simply have screwed up the timing? I'm nervous about taking it back to him and I'm pretty tight on cash considering I dropped $1100 on flipping spark plugs, any help is much appreciated!

Just guessing but I wonder if the mechanic got the timing chains on correctly? I would be suspicious of that mehanic also.

Any mechanic who has to pull the heads to remove the plugs doesn't know what he is doing. They make extractor tools to do the job and there are procedures to follow to minimize breakage in the first place.

That is actually a quite involved swap. There's more to it than just a wiring harness.
