does ford or anyone else make a higher capacity [longer] oil filter than the 820 or 820s??
the old fl1a had a truck version that was twice the capacity .have never seen anything on the
newer numbers. have always wondered why all the new filters are so dinky[motor packaging
parameters]. there are plces you can put more filtering area.

If you need a larger filter then there is something wrong. The average user can get by 10k miles before changing the oil filter, by changing the oil every 5k miles.

I've opened many oil filters at 10k, and on a good running motor, it looks fine and oil pressures are normal.

Only time huge filters are required is in dusty/filthy environments and extended oil changes -- I'm talking 20k oil changes which usually only apply to large diesels.
