i see a lot of forums about the engine swaps but when i go and look up an engine to replace mine (01 screw 5.4l 4x4) i was wanting to get an 03 5.4 but im not sure which one to purchase. my 8th digit of vin is "L" i look it up on the 03 5.4 and it ask with or with out the EGR valve. and i was just trying to figure out what i needed to get.

 

If your engine has an EGR valve, you need a replacement that also has one.
