I recently started experiencing a loud tap on my 2004 5.4 liter f150. About a year and a half ago I had replaced both cam phasers with or Parts and teplaced the timing chains,guides,tensioners and gear with aftermath. Truck did great till about s month ago. I pulled the timing cover and found two cracked guides. I went ahead and replaced all the timing components minus the phasers with a chloyes kit. My noise did not cease. The crank position ring had some wear on it from what looked. To be the chain.could this possibly be my noise?
