2004 5.4 - Can't seem to get fuel rail and injectors loose

2004 FX4, 5.4: I'm trying to remove the fuel rail ( so I get my hands down the back of the engine to replace the vacuum hose that feeds the 4x4 hubs). Everything is free - I think - wires, the 4 bolts - but I can't remove the rail and injectors from the engine. The driver's side front one is coming loose, but the others seem rock solid. I suppose they have been in there for 13 years ( 3rd owner), and seem to want to stay there.

I haven't tried to lever with a prybar or anything, just given it a solid pull. No luck.

Any ideas ? How hard SHOULD I pull?

Thanks

How hard should you pull?

Pull however hard you have to in order to get the injectors to come out - of either the rail or manifold. They are just in there with rubber o'rings. You probably should replace the o'rings if they are stuck that good.
