cylinder 1 missfire

Since I purchased this truck in 2005, seems 12 months or so is max before something breaks, malfunctions, fails to operate, etc. I will start with Techron and a fuel filter change (which is overdue).

Any codes?

And now my HP power steering hose went this morning. Grrrrr

Could be the COP, plug, or fuel injector. Swap COPs with another cylinder and see if the misfire follows. Then swap FIs. Put a bottle of Chevron techron or Gumout for high mileage engines in the gas.

Yep, if fuel filter doesn't do it...

Well. it's been awhile since I changed that fuel filter. As much as I complain about the dependability of my F150, I should have replaced that fuel filter many thousands of miles ago. Yes, I am my own worst enemy. Very dirty on the tank side, disgusting in fact. The engine side was tough to get off. I retracted the lock ring with the tool and had to work the filter off, it wasn't corroded on, but sure felt like it. Seems to be running fine, no misfires yet. The high pressure ps hose was a complete pia. But It's in and no leaks.
