Thinking of trading '05 5.4 3v for '11 5.0

I found a low mileage 2011 XLT 4x4 5.0 for a good price and was thinking of trading my 162k mi 05 FX4 in on it. Obviously people have gone from 5.4 to 5.0, but has anyone regretted doing it? Ive been doing some reading and the general consensus is that most are happy with their 5.0. Any thoughts, or comments?

How does that "good price" compare to what you can get a brand new 2013 for?

I would take a 5.0 over a 5.4 3 valve any day. More power, better gas mileage, and although too early to really tell, appears to be more reliable.

About 10k off a similarly equipped '13. The '11 is practically new with 12k mi.

Well I'm a shop owner and I have a customer with a 5.4 3v and for reliability it can't be beat, it's has 295k miles it does not leak any oil and all we have ever done is regular maintenance, I believe he has had one altarnator, which he had done while outta town well the truck finally has a issue it lost reverse not bad for never any issues, I work on a lot of 5.4 3v I'd say the ones that are maintained dont have hardly any issues, I can't count the number of sets of plugs I've changed, the 5.4 3v is pretty tough I've done phasers a few time but so far only on neglected motors
