be prepared to be unimpressed!!!

after many months of being screwed by Speedtek, and JLP performance on tunes, TrueStreet Performance in Mckinney finally came through and got me in.

this is n/a boost motor, F-42 cams, ported heads and bullitt intake, Ferrea OS valves, +.030 bore, 3200 stall converter, 2 piece drive line, 100F+ when this was done. 8.99:1 compression ratio.

now just waiting to save up a few thousand to get the turbo kit built....

Looks good.
Why the 2 piece drive line?

1 piece no matter what material you use is too long for 90+ mph i learned that lesson after 3 drive shafts, and 1 transmission. when the factory drive line is 76 1/4" long.. its going to whip no matter what. so i had a 2 piece from a 97 GMC 3500 cut to fit. no more drive line vibration or humming. smooth as glass

these were from today, we had issues getting the RPM to synch up correctly so who knows if the numbers are even accurate, but it was nice to see the torque up there compared to the other dyno at another shop

Gotcha. Never thought of that.
I had a friend building a supra that had a 2 piece from the factory. He went to a costum lightened single piece. Made sense to me at the time. Why have the extra stress at another joint. Now I'm wondering if that was a good idea. Or maybe it is different for his application.

I'm guessing with the low compression your build is intended for boost. All that tuning is going to change once the boost goes on. But I'm sure you have to get it running safely atm.

yes, i bought a house, so it will delay the turbo build for several months, and i did not want to destroy my motor nor park and not drive the truck for that period of time.

If you'd drop your truck the driveline would be straighter :noob:

thought you had a procharger?

4ctNduction 07-03-2013 02:09 PM

what size injectors are you using ?

i also had to build a 2 piece driveshaft cause i was breaking the rear tranny seal everytime it would go over 100. i had issues with the factory one for a while and also broke a few trannys ha

it has 30lb injectors and a 255lph pump for now. once the turbo goes on and i max these out, ive got a 390lph pump and a set of 52lb injectors to put in it
