5.4 3v's, what's your mpg?
i have a 2005 f150 screw on 35's and im only getting 9.8 combined, what is anyone else with a similar setup getting, and any tips on how to bring it up?

05 super cab 4x4 on 33's with 3.73 gears I'm getting 13ish in the city and 16 highway. Set cruise at a tick under 70 and keep it below 2000 rpm
Tips? Keep your foot out of it and accelerate slow. |
2005 Screw with 5.4/373 and 35's on a level kit. With the mud tires 12.8 no matter where I drive. With the all terrains I get 13.1 city and 15.5 on the interstate running 75 mph.

Get a programmer with custom tunes, correct your speedo/odo, and keep your foot out of the firewall.

:lies:
just kidding - that's pretty funny. |
When I was bone stock my 07 Scab got 18.3hwy/14.5city with stock 17" wheels and 3.55 gears. With just a Whipple pushing 8psi added she got 18hwy and city varied based upon my driving lol. Usually 13mpg though. Now pushing her for it's worth she get's 16.5hwy and 11-13city just depends on me. She also has a 3500 stall converter so that affects city some. Wheels are 22" with 305/40's and gearing is 4.11.

My 07 Harley with Saleen blower got 10 mpg and that was on a good day. That was also on premium gas. Which is why I no longer own it!

smaller tires....like stock sized ones
the 35" tires ain't helping yer mpgs and yer tranny either....programmer plus regear since yer over the 34" tire size |
I have a stock 2008 SuperCrew 5.4L 4x4 automatic which gets about 13 mpg.

2006 crew cab XLT, 2wd, 3.55 diff, 5.4 with true 33's (a/t) on 20's; gotts mod; catback exhaust. Get 10.8 to 11.7 mpg, even when I stay off the gas. It's terrible haha

any of you guys ever compare your truck mileage to a gps. Those larger tires are not calculating your odometer correctly. Back when I had my 07 5.4 fx4 oversized tires with programmer I got 14.6 average.
