89 f150 won't start continued [part 2]
 

yes it is a 5.8 there is spark itis getting fuel, cap,and all is fine i think it it is comouter related because i've checked everything else that it should of been.
how do you check codes are there any ways of checking codes without expensive diagnosis stuff new to this computer stuff

You might be right. The ignition module is notorious for going out.

To get the codes, you can use a $25 code reader (from Wal-Mart) or you can use an analog volt meter connected to the diagnostic link connector. It would probably be best if you went and bought a Haynes manual too.
