Takeda. Interesting pics of the Ranger plugs. Obviously the guy who installed those Champs had no idea on how to gap a spark plug.IIRC, you were having some misfires, right. Would have been interesting to properly gap those plugs and try again.

Thanks Jim! Good memory, yes, my truck idled much smoother with the MC plugs. I remember discussing my dislike of Champion plugs in anything.

Hey guys, I am going to attempt this on my 05. Can't afford the dealer so after reading the write ups on here, I believe I can do it. The question that I have is, what do you guys think of the E3 spark plugs? I looked on their page and it looks like them make a plug that fits the 5.4's. Are they any good and worth the money? Any feed back would be greatly appreciated.

Good camera skills on the close ups.

My tuner said the MC are the only one to use.

2008? With brown boots?

Yer tuner needs to broaden his horizons.

For those with prior years and 2-piece plugs, more than a few have had good results with 7989's installed correctly.

Dang it Takeda - yer huge pics is messin' wif me vision! Good Job !!!

I prefer to call it the superior 3v. How do you know I have the the brown booted spark plugs? Oh yeah I asked that question with no reply from the so called experts like you?

But anyhow. What would you recommend then?

6 and 2 three's IMO.

I will tell the tuner to call you before he does anything in the future.

LMFAO !!!

I see subtlety does not appear to work with you.

*Hint* - I'm attempting to help - too bad you can't get past the insecurity. Yer loss.

I recommend SP515's for black booted 3V's, and 7989's as an alternate.

For Brown booted 3V's (which are not superior, btw) I recommend Denso, with MC as an alternate.

Your recommendation is worth about as much as the guy's next door.

I'm convinced that MGD (and a few others around here...a very few others) have forgotten more about these trucks than you or I have learned.

If you disagree, that's cool. But a little respect where respect is due, please.
