I have an '01 5.4 that I recently had out of the truck to do some work to and can not find where this line plugs back into.

Just a guess but looks like it might be a vacuum line going to the brake booster

Looks like an evap line. It's missing the other portion though.

Yea, I just found a pic of mine

Here it is on mine...

Nevermind, I see both your evr and fpr lines on the back side...
Then I am not sure where that goes....

Did you re route that? Are you sure it is not supposed to go toward the passenger side firewall. Mine comes off that T and goes somewhere behind the plastic cover near the battery. You can see it in my first pic... the T faces the other way. Not to familiar with the vacuum system but that is where mine goes.

Toyz - It isn't the white hard line you have the arrow pointing to I have that one hooked up. It is up on the firewall next to the brake booster. The one I am looking at is the one in your first picture that is in the center of the T.

Yea, i realized that you already have the evr and fpr lines. That part of the line on mine goes the other direction. That is why I was asking if you re routed it to that side? You can see in my first pic that section of the T goes towards the passenger side behind the battery.

Your correct Toyz. He just needs to flip it so that it runs in the right direction, = Battery box/Pass Side firewall. Being a 2wd, it either connects directly to a booted check valve, -

OR, a trunk line of sorts. For instance, -

Regardless, flip it, rout it, connect it. It's necessary lol.

BTW- It's possible that it connects directly to the filter( hidden inside, top of inner fender, pass side). Iduno, just take a look between the battery box and firewall, - you'll find it.

No problem. Yea, I messed with those lines in the past, a few different occasions. As they age, become brittle, then crack and also like to break over by the battery box. Usually just with the 4x4's. In short, the 4x4's have more of them w/shift on fly.
