'05 5.4 misses on acceleration CEL flashing

Here is today's clip. I bet if I had a Ford Tech in vehicle this wouldn't happen! Accelerate up, gets rough and almost 'hangs' @ 3300 struggles up to 4000, Once I reach 4900 it shifts, I accelerate again and it hangs @ 3400 with pedal to the floor and CEL flashing and throwing no codes.

Start with basic maintenance. After that could be COPs but get the codes read to be sure.

Yes I'm aware of the extended warranty on the fuel injectors. No I have not had fuel pressure tested.

Injectors IMO. Flooding and fouling scenario. Personally, I'd leak test them myself,- or take it in if under warranty.

What does it take to leak test?

You have to pull the rail and key to run. If any are leaking at all, even a dribble, then the injector is bad.

Yea, I had a feeling it wasn't worth going into detail how to check those injectors yourself, - you got the very short version lol.

If your lucky, the problem is isolated to JUST #5. Checking the injectors requires just the basic tools and is a very good idea for that model year.

I'd go thru it, = plugs and fuel checks just to be sure. Specially with that model year. Has a history of known issues.

I have an appointment with Ford Service tomorrow. I'm hoping they will check/test ALL Injectors, not just #5. Is it possible for an injector to fail only occasionally? Or will their testing reveal an intermittent problem?
They will probably want to change the plugs, but I plan on doing that when injectors are fixed.

That year in particular, - if one injector is bad, you can't trust that set IMO. Thing is, the problem can cause a hydro-lock situation. That may lead to engine failure. Stems from leaking injector's, - just read the letter, it's posted here. That should be a little more descriptive.

Don't just assume that - they typically only replace the one found to be bad. The rest is on your dime.

Plugs, injectors, oil/filter change and a check of cat health and possibly O2' switching checks is in order.
