Can anyone tell me if the CHT sensor is in fact in the rear of the passenger head under the intake or near the front of the drivers cyl head near the alternator under the intake. I have found posts that say both.....Help.

 

Since the cyl heads are interchangable prior to final assembly of the head both cyl heads have a hole drilled to accept the CHT sensor. I am not that familure with the 5.4 as they were being produced in Canada and I was at Romeo where the 4.6 was being produced. With that said the 4.6 CHT sensor was installed in the front of the driverside cyl head just below the intake manifold in the valley side of the head. The rear passengerside hole location was left empty.

 

My 05 5.4L had only one and it is on the passenger side 3/4 of the way back on the head under the intake.

 

Thats also where its located on my 04.
