4.6 timming

4.6 timming

how do i set the timing i have pulled the motor apart and put a new head on it now and need to get the timming right so i dont bend the valves again where do my marks need to go

ok i get that but on my timing gear on the crank shaft it has two marks one in front and one in back my gear does not come apart it is one gear with places for both chains do i line the left chain (driverside) up wi the the mark in the back and the right side (passangerside) with the front mark or do i line them both up with the front mark on the crankshaft gear

The crank gear is reversable thats why there is a mark on both sides. Line both up with the mark that is visable....front mark.
