The coil pack on my V-6 went at 84k.

Your 2008 4.6 has COP, not coil pack. They go when they go.

I've got a 2008 truck--does that engine have packs or COPs?

138,000 miles on original coil packs 1998 4.6L

 

replaced my coil packs, wires, and plugs finaly with motorcraft stuff at around 110,000. but i bought the cheapo duracrap coil packs. the packs lasted about 10K swaped my packs with my buddys 97 that had 160,000 on the motor and they are still in my truck working just fine.

gonna save up for the MSD coil PACK's and some red wires would look awesome.

get to change the plugs on my gf's 92 F150 with the 4.9L it has an awful miss at idle and says her fuel milage has gone to crap. from COP to my coil packs back to her cap and rotor! woohoo! and she gets to use the cheap plugs lucky her! should i replace the coil it self on her truck? the truck has 230,000 the motor has 120,000
