Picked up a 99 5.4 to go in my 98 4x4 excab.Its tired old 5.4 is smoking and rattling to death with 207k on her.The motor I bought has 89k on it looks good overall. pulled cam covers to give it a once over before install everything looks good except the passenger side timing chain isnt as tight as the drivers side. It tightens up as your turn the engine over by hand but goes back slack at other points. Will the tesioner pump back up or should I pull it and in stall new tensioners and guides. I'm on a tight timeline and a tighter budget. Also any advice in going from a non pi 5.4 to a pi 5.4 would be greatly appreciated. The replacement motor has the alum upper but no injectors or rails and no throttle body or elbow will the ones from my 98 work?
