05 Spark Plug Replacement

I was wondering if it is better to replace the spark plugs in my 05 Screw now or wait. I have 20K miles on it (yes I know its not much). My job was only 5 miles from my house and I did not have to put many miles on it. Either way is it better to replace now or being that the truck is 6+ years old the removal will be just as difficult. I will not be attempting this myself.

If you follow the TSB for changing the 3V plugs, you should have no problem doing it yourself.

Are their any updated Ford plugs or even aftermarket ones that can be used so I can avoid this issue down the road?

There are some one piece plugs, but the Motorcraft is the proven performer. The new Motorcrafts are reduced in size, and should not be a problem coming out. Besides, if you follow the TSB, most are successful in getting the originals out without breaking them. It's just not that big of a deal now. No more miles that you put on it, not sure why you are concerned. Wait till you get about 60,000 miles to change them. Sounds as if that will be a few years. You may even get rid of the truck before then.
