Whats this ticking? winding sound

my truck is making a ticking sound i figured it was a tensioner pulley so i replaced it and it still tick you can hear it the best when your ear is right beside the driver side wheel but when the hood it up you can barely hear it ? I dont think that it is my timing belt maybe another pulley?

Remove the drive belt and start the truck. If it goes away, it's a pulley. If not, then it's something else. May want to check if all your plugs are tight and torqued properly.

Alternator maybe. They can tick and whine

It's the count down before launch (plug launch that is).

Check the plugs. They like to loosen up on some of these engines and can sound like that.
