how do i get better gas millage

thanks for all the replys, yea i knew the tires would not be good on mpg but dident know it would make a dramatic difference, but ima keep the tires lol, when i posted this i was kinda woundering if there was any kind of chip u can do to help with the fuel economy? would a air intake do much? i heard i wouldent but i thought id ask.

Like it has been said before in this thread those add on's are only gonna net you a couple mpg's. With the price of programmers and intakes it will take you years to recoop just the cost of buying them. They do great things for a truck but aren't justifiable to spend the money on them when saving money on gas is your concern.

I said this in another post ... But the best Mod I have done so far for MPG is park my truck & drive this .. I now get 45mpg!
It wasn't easy to do .. but I commute 100 miles a day for work.
So lets say gas is an even $4
Truck = 12.8mpg = $625 / month
Humiliating Metro = 45mpg = $177 / month
The trick to driving the metro is simple .... every morning .. take your heart, pride, mansack, & self respect .. rip it violently off .. hang it on a nail in the garage until you get home at night.
That makes it a little easier.
It wasn't easy to do .. but I commute 100 miles a day for work.
