What plugs to get ?

Been doing some reading but seems there is quite some contreversy on the different plugs available. Im coming up on a 100,000K and its time to get those old plugs out.
I was looking at the E3's but seems they are not holding up as they say.

What are the best plugs available for the 5.4L 3V ??
What are the best Cops ?

What is the actual part # for the plugs and do you recomend getting them anywhere specific ? Or just go to my local auto zone ??

Thanks J.

I'm getting ready to install the e3's in my pickup. I saw the other 2 threads about how they aren't holding up. But I think I'm still giving it a shot though...

The stock Motorcraft COPs are the best!
Do not change them unless you have a bunch of bad ones and if you have one bad one.Just by a new Motorcraft COP from Rockauto.

SP-507 for single platinum, SP-515 for double platinum.

Some members are presently evaluating WeaponX replacement cops for the 3V. They are $400 a set but may be worth it. Otherwise, you can get a set of generic OEM replacements on Ebay for $100-$125.

I can tell ya right now to NOT wast your money on the weaponX COPs!
I have seen WAY to many used sets for sale on the Lightning sites. If they were any better then OEM ,people would not be going back to OEM Motorcraft and selling there weaponX junks.

Motorcraft SP507 or SP515 if you want the engine to run right.

Champion 7989 if you aren't totally worried about the engine running like it should, but you'll never have to worry about plugs breaking off again.

Brisk Racing if you don't mind replacing them every 30K miles or whatever it is, and you won't ever have to worry about them breaking off.

Autolite HT1 or E3s if you want to waste money.

I say get the one piece Champions. They are double platinum. I don't know where all the scare tactics are coming from but I just turned 25,000 mi. on mine and the truck runs like the day I bought it.

Yea bosch plugs suck i tried them and ended up changing them out for autolites. I had the bosch plugs in for about 3,000 miles and when i took them out the center electrode was red and didnt look good. Ive had the autolite platnums in for over a year and they are great no complaints. I shouldnt say the bosch plugs suck for every vehicle.... they just do in fords. For some reason fords dont like them. I would have never put them in my truck if it wasnt for the guy at advance sayin they were good plugs, then i started reading on here about all the people that have problems with them. But the second time i changed them with the autolites i was alot faster did it in about a hour. good practice i recon. i would stick with the motorcrafts or autolites IMO.
