Should I buy it?

I am thinking of buying a 2005 6.0 diesil 130,000 miles. Seller says that it starts fine when it is cold and runs fine. But when you shut it down after it gets up to temp. it will not start until it cools down. Any ideas if this is an exspensive fix ( pull the engine type $ 4000.00 ) or perhaps some module that can be changed fairly easy.

Thank you

I'm no mechanic, but that sounds like something I wouldn't want to mess with!!!

The 6.0 is known for having expensive issues. Take a pass.

$4000? heh - that's cheap for one of those things.

Plan on tearing the top of the engine apart. I cant remember what all issues these engines had, maybe injectors???????

Probably less than 4grand but not a cheap easy fix. Unless the price is right I would pass. kinda sounds like the injector is stuck in the WOT position until the motor is in a "cold" state. But then again what do I know about these motors?
