Truck didn't start after wash, computer said oil pressure low?

Hey yall, so I just got done washing my truck and went to move it again to where I normally park, went to crank it and it didn't start for me. The computer flashed a message saying the oil pressure was low. Confused, I tried to crank my truck again and it started up fine. It didn't make much sense to me since I drove it around to dry it off about 10 minutes before it wouldn't start. Any ideas why? Should I be worried as to why it didn't start but started the next time? Trucks a 2005 Lariat with 47k on it.

Thanks yall
-Barrett

probably said oil pressure was low due to the key being on but the engine not running = no oil pressure when the computer thinks there should be. i wouldn't worry about it. keep on driving imo.

Yeah that makes sense, however since then my truck has not started twice and has taken alot more effort to start a few times as well. Starting to get a little worried, anyone have any ideas as to what may be causing my truck to do this?

did you wash under the hood at all? can't really see why washing the exterior of the truck would cause a no-start issue. must be purely coincidental if you didn't wash under the hood.

if you did wash under the hood, start looking for loose/corroded/damaged/wet wires, harnesses COPs etc.

hmmm....while it's not completely out of the realm of possibility that washing the exterior of the truck could do something to make it not start like you're describing, i'd lean more toward the thought that it's purely coincidental that this issue started right after washing the truck.

any codes or anything? any driveability issues other than the no-start?

Have you checked/replaced your FCM? Idk that it would bring up the "low oil pressure", but I know it would cause the truck to not start...

No I haven't, mainly because I am not sure what you mean by FCM. Care to elaborate please?
