Ignition upgrade questions

I am looking to upgrade my ignition. Thinking about placing an MSD coil and maybe an MSD distributor cap and rotor along with upgraded wires. I have a 91 ford f150 4wd 5.0 Let me know if anyone has any experience with these parts or suggests other upgrade parts. Thanks a lot guys.

I have all MSD ignition in the Mach I and its great. I think unless your really gonna go all out high performance it really not worth it though. A quality set of wires cap rotor plugs and a decent coil and your set.. You iginition is already electronic. My mach I had points when I got it. Decided if I was gonna upgrade I was gonna go all out..

^ I'll second that. I had MSD stuff on my 95 5.0 mustang. It was carbed, heads, and big cam. I took all of the MSD out and put an HEI dizzy in there, and ran about the same. Plenty of spark!

I agree, MSD is the ONLY aftermarkets without failure complaints.

Thanks a bunch for your opinions guys. What I will probably do then is get an MSD coil upgrade along with a cap and rotor and then just good plugs and wires. Hopefully I have my truck up and running soon. I've been working on it for a while now. I will definetly post pics when it is running. Thanks again!
