I agree on this matter.

Pennzoil sucks, when i got my king ranch the ford mechanic at the dealership said whatever oil you go with DO NOT put in pennzoil, then he pointed to three f150's that had the motor tore apart and they all had pennzoil in them, go with motorcraft or valvoline or castrol for a good oil

I personally wouldn't use Pennzoil. Seen some bad things happen from it.

Pennzoil is one of the top rated motor oils out there. I'd question any mechanic that thinks he can identify an oil by looking at it or tearing an engine apart. Sludge, FWIW, is not caused by an oil but water in the system that has overwhelmed the PCV system. Short trips, not running the engine at temp long enough, are the common factors in sludging an engine. Pennzoil gets my vote along with a quality filter like the Motorcraft or Purolator.

If you had a new engine, I would say Motorcraft, but if you have 130,000 on it and it is performing satisfactorly, why change? I like sticking with something if it's working.

................We'll see. Don't forget my weather conditions are alot tougher than what any Texas Ford has seen. I had -46 celius the other day. Any vehicle that sees those conditions regularly and lasts past 100,000 miles is good in my books. Thats -50.8 Farenheit by the way.:D

ture but i bet your ford has never seen 110-115 degree days either, ive run motorcraft in it for 106,000 miles and at the end of the 5000 miles its still light brown and right at the full mark. Ill stick with my motorcraft
