Finally... It's Here. Now need input on how to build her

As many of you know, i've been looking at doing a 4v swap for ever and a half now. Well today she arrived at my house. 2001 Navigator 5.4L 4v. :bows::bows::bows:

Here's my Issue. I've never built American Before. i know the basics are the same. I just don't know who to go to for what. I want to Build the Bottom end. If my research severs me right. The Crank and Rods in the Navigator are already forged. If not the crank for sure.

Any Help would be great. Its gonna be a nitrous car for a while til i can raise money for a Blower Nitrous set up. I need to keep it a daily driver.

Pistons :
Rods :
Bearings:
Valve Springs :
Cams :
Any other parts i should look at upgrading?
Transmission is already picked : beefed up 70w with a 3500 stall

Thanks - Andy

I doubt the rods are forged...

the crank is but even the lightings have crappy rods so that's the first thing I'd change along with the pistons and a head job with custom ground cams (depending on what your doing: N/A, Turbo or Supercharger)

Fuel pump, injecors and MAF...

equal lenght shorty header unless you can get some mid lenghts to fit or a set of long tubes custom made

hey Tarajerame, i was looking at these crower cams. what do you think? Are Blower cams okay for Nitrous? Im gonna be nitrous for a while. so til i can come up with blower money. Unit it is

Stage 2
Designed specifically for supercharger applications for street use.
Slight Lobe at idle to 7250 rpm.
252 Lobe 252

264 Valve 264 206 Lobe 206

222 Valve 222 .475 / .475 84710
or
84711

I'm pretty sure the blower cams won't have enough over lap for the N/A use... I would call crower and see what they recomend

however maybe you can score a set of used terminator cobra cams for later on when you add the boost

After all the research i did when i was going to go 4v i found that the stock cams are a good all around cam. For the price of a set of cams i would spend that money elsewhere. I would throw a good set of rods and pistons in it and spray away. It would be a very potent combo. If you want to send it somewhere to get built, MMR has made over 2000hp with the 5.4 4v motors and are great to deal with. Boss 330 racing is well known for building nasty 5.4 4v motors also. Good luck with it, i cant wait to see it.:rocker:
