Vapor management valve question?

Nope. Everything will work, like I said . Just do as I said, that's it and you'll be fine.

lol - no problem. Not really plug in- see how the end is sort of 45'ed. That just hangs loose in an over sized cut out on top of the empty box. That's why I say it really doesn't do much. That's the way it was on my 98 anyway.
Ford service disconnected mine while I was at work. The work order said something like - need new charcoal canister. They couldn't get one. That was back in 2002. I pulled the rest of the tubing out a few years ago. I dropped the tank to clean the fuel pump sock and run new brake lines to the rear and found the empty canister nestled on top of the tank and that hose.

So if some one wanted to buy a new canister other then a Ford OEM Where would you find it on the net? I still have a hard time starting my truck sometimes? I still smell fuel some times with a Guaranteed 100% no leak situation, and no vacuum leaks. I would like to find a new canister. Not sure if my tune or the amount of boost I'm running has some thing to do with it. Thanks for the input guys.
PS to any one that says a 4x4 2001 5.4 Expo with 14psi cant get 24mpg at 65mph with your foot out of it I will make a video of it LOL. I will eat my words if my overhead gauge is lying but I see it now at most definitely after changing my cam and crank position sensors.
I will try what Jbrew said. Most likely a waste of money and time to replace the canister. One real question I have is could you just run a jumper for the electric part of it and make an always open loop doing the same thing as leaving it pluged in and loose the weight of the canister?
