I have a '07 F150 FX4, with the 5.4l engine. I noticed a faint smell of gas sometimes on the initial start. I took it to the dealership, and they found a faulty sensor, and the worst of it went away, but I still can smell it occasionally. Any ideas?

 

Have you had the plugs changed recently? If they were not torqued properly you will get a gas fume smell. You also might have a vacum line cracked too.

 

The plugs were done 15000 km ago, and I thought that was the problem. I mentioned to the tech, but there was no mention of it in the final bill. I probably will have to go back and get it rechecked.
