ok guys the 250 runs now but smokes like a ........... lol, i'm off to do the compression check now but if there is a 10 $ part... eg valve etc. i like to know

what color smoke?
blue is oil
black is too rich air fuel ratio or just too much fuel
white is coolant or water in cylinders

unfortunatly it's blue,wife and i started partying so no compression check today... update tomorrow

most likely valve seats or you have a blow by, but check your air filter too.

i'm not doing a teardown in the fall. so it's $400 for a junkyard 302, $200 install all done done done!!
