MAF code

MAF code

so when i took my truck to the tranny shop they put a scanner on it to look for trans codes. they found my normal rear o2 codes and my EGR code but they found one that is. P1100 Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor Circuit Intermittent is this bad? i unhooked my MAF and blew it out then i pluged it in went to autozoen there scaner didnt read teh maf code. is that code bad?? maybe it wasnt pluged all the way in??

Sounds like the maf needs a cleaning.

Yeah im going to get soem MAF cleaner then go to autozone and see if it comes up again. could it be anything to do with my Ram-air? and my intake?

If you are using an oiled air filter, MAF fouling is common.

Yeah maybe its a brand new K&N air filter i just bought it from autozone. ill take a look at soon.
