Motor's not knocking
 

Well for the longest time i thought the motor was knocking on the bottom end but i went under there today (while it was running) to tighten the tranny pan bolts (did a tranny service last week) and some were a tad loose then the knocking sound was there well is sounds like it knocking from the starter or where the motor mounts to the tranny. Any one hear anything like this?

It could be the rear main bearing on the engine, the front pump braering in the transmision, or just something loose in between. I would check the torque converter bolts first. Sometimes they can work loose.

Yea its either in the very rear of the motor or the front of the tranny its weird. When it idols for a couple of minutes the knocking goes away. hmm
