fuse#9 under hood keeps blowing

fuse#9 under hood keeps blowing

i have a 01 ford f150 5.4
fog light wont turn on and i think is do to electrical problem fuse #9 under hood is the one that controlls fog lights and daytime running lights fuse keeps blowing switch it with another fuse keeps blowing again caused a check engine light comes up

p0950: transmission A malfunction
p0953: Shift solenoid A electrical

why do i have those codes have no idea transmission works fine last time i had short on the engine wiring harness had that short fixed, codes never came back but now that my fuse#9 keep blowing im sure is do to that

but were can i start to check for the problem knowing my fuse keeps blowing and fig lights would not come on

any help would be great before taking it to the expensive electrical guys

Best place to start is get a wiring diagram see exactly what components are powered through fuse 9 if possible disconect each item 1 at a time to see if you can eliminate the component that is causing the fuse to blow + carefuly inspect all associated wiring for chafed spots & such.
