Decided to sell my dirtbike

Well my motors knocking pretty bad so i decided to sell the dirt bike for a motor sad day but u gotta do what u gotta do. So i found a Re manufactured 302 motor from cm engines, has any one dealt with the guys before also i was looking at the 302 ho motor can i use this motor with all my existing electronics cause i know it has a different firing order. So about 1096 plus shipping for the long block with Re manufactured heads for another 130 a head. Do these prices sound reasonable?

Another question they say they have a high torque version 302 what exactly would this be and has any one heard of it?

AROLINA MACHINE ENGINES also produces a HIGH TORQUE version of most engines. These engines are listed in our price list along with our stock engines and will have a "T" at the end of the part number. They receive a TORQUE type camshaft sometimes called a "RV" cam. Also we perform several other operations to enhance power.
Although these engines produce more torque and horsepower, they still retain a SMOOTH IDLE and require no changes to your vehicle. They are ideal for towing and produce up to 10% more horsepower than the original engine, yet there is no change in the warranty.
As a rule these engines will not affect emissions, but emissions should be verified in certain states.
If you don't see the HIGH TORQUE engine you want in our price list, please call, fax or email us for more information.

Yeah, as you wish, however those Mustang Engines are extreemely Durable Roller Rockers, double roller timing chains, Etc! I have never EVER seen one go CA-BOOM! Even with much abuse!.........It should just bolt right up no problemo!.............:coffee:

If i remember correctly my teacher was telling me the difference between the a car motor 302 and a truck motor 302 is the truck motor has a full skirt piston and the 302 car motor has a short shirt piston and the excess strain on them cause them to crack. Something like that but During the summer im going to start to tow my boat around to different fishing holes so i rather have the more torque.

Your not kidding - My daughters friend has an old LX 5.0 - I can't believe how fast that thing is. It looks like hell - old ragged and tired looking , but it doesn't sound it. I think it's a late 80's model. Surprised me that's for sure.

I dont know what the hell happened to my 302 with 125,000 on it but o well that life. Buddy of mine has a 95 f150 with a 302 also and that motor has 52,000 on it and the motors junk knocks worse then mine.

Pay attention when you remove the motor, you might find something else that's loose aka flexplate or mount or something that makes a similar noise. If you have been keepin' oil in it you should not have problems.

1988 was a fine year for wine, women, and Mustangs. Vanilla Ice rolled a 5.0, with his ragtop down so his hair can blow. But the next year, '89, was all Toyota Celica. Remember that AWD Celica with the turbo? Ford's answer to that? The Ford Probe.

probes... what a headache if they arent kept up with... mines comin around tho, nasty lil bugger stock, eats most modded neons and 3000gt's that come out to play.

I had an 86 Z28 back in the early 90's. Used to get beat by 5.0 mustangs and I got beat by a Celica once. That Z28 was actually pretty damn quick.
