blah blah blah blah blah
Driving 10 miles per hour faster, assuming you don't lose time getting pulled over for a speeding ticket, does have the advantage of getting you to your destination 50 minutes sooner on that 400 mile trip. Whether that time difference is worth the added cost and risk is, ultimately, up to you.

I agree, but I thought I would give people an actual way to save fuel, everyone b^tches and moans b/c their 6000lb truck doesnt get the mileage their 3500lb sedan gets. But I have to say is get over, cause I will be driving fast, and someone take a video as I go by please, I want to hear my new exhaust outside, Oh and patman do you really want that x-pipe??

from what i have seen...
the smaller the motor the slower you have to go to get good mpg...
the 4.2 and 4.6 cant keep the truck moveing at high speeds like the 5.4..
like i feel that i get better mpg with the 5.4 then i did with my 4.6
Do a EcoBoost setup deal..
Turbo a 4.2 or 4.6 and run 3.2 gears or around there on stock tires.....
I dont see why the mpg wouldent be around 22-25 at 60-65

"Engineers at Consumer Reports magazine tested this theory by driving a Toyota Camry sedan and a Mercury Mountaineer SUV at various set cruising speeds on a stretch of flat highway.'

20!!! 23!!!
HOW, i have close to same mods as you, i know the visor cuts down or aerodynamics and the 285s are taller, you have little more engine. but i get 16 at best at 60. 14 at 80 at 2100rpms, if its not up hills...now on edge level 3 canned tunes no mods to tune.
im not calling BS, just would like to know how. it must be my flowmaster...
well i re-read your sig. much more than me but...you get a 7.5ish 0-60 with edge i get a 7.9...not to far behind. so we have reative power, i have a 3.55 and taller tires.

That was in the summer with 255/70/16's and nice flat driving. I can dogg my truck and get 14 on a bad tank, 16.5-17 with mostly city driving. I drive highway and get 19-20 driving anywhere from 75-80 mph keeping up with traffic. It gets ok mileage when I drive "sensible" which is rarely but at $3.50 for 93, I'm learning more and more to drive "nicely", thats pretty good for a 4x4 4.6L I think. I have heard of some with 5.4's getting 22 highway with 33's, so maybe you need a good tune up.
