Trouble starting when hot?
I have a 2006 F150 4X4 with the small V8 and about 20k miles. When it gets hot outside, after driving and engine is hot, when I shut it off and run inside for a minute it does not want to start up. Sometimes I have to hit the key 2 or 3 times and it starts normally. It only happens in the summer. It doesn't happen all of the time. If it cools off for 10 or 15 minutes I don't have any trouble. It has done it since it was new. Has anybody had this problem before and if so what causes it. Thanks for any help.

Yea - or , I also heard of having to turn the key real slow after being inserted.
Sometimes people have gone in for a reflash as well.
This problem can be a PITA to pin down.
I recall one guy doing all of the above - So he went in for a re -program and that didn't work.
That was about the same time the TSB came out and that ended up being the problem.
If your search the 2004 + models forum on this site you should be able to find that one.

I'm not sure on your model - you may be able to switch that relay with your horn relay - They are the same on the older models.
