do a search on "broken manifold studs" youll get tons of info.

There isn't a gasket between the manfold and the down pipes. As suggested, look for the broken stud threads, and you'll find a lot of info.
I had both broken studs on the manifolds to heads, and also the studs to the pipes were rusted completely away on both sides. I replaces the manifolds, studs, O2 snsors, and all is better now. The broken studs were removed by double nutting them. There is just enough left to get a good bite on the second nut. New manifolds were worth it, as opposed to drilling and tapping out the old rusted studs. |
no, use the info here, and do it yourself. if you have acess to hand tools, a drill, an easy out, and some pb blaster, you can fix this yourself...
