32v engine wear???

Im looking at buying a mark 8 engine for my truck and its got 140,000. HOw well do the 32v engines last.

Considering all maintance was done would this be good for another 100,000?

All opinions welcome!!!!

I think that would be an overhaul. A 32v engine is a high performance one. 140k is allot for that kind of an engine. I think an overhaul IE rings bearings hone job guides & valves cleaned up would be a good idea.

Its basicly a rebuild. Take it to a reputable engine shop have them go through it and make sure everything is up to spec. They will probably replace the valve seals, bearings, machine the cylinder walls as well as look at the vavle guides and machine them if they need it.

your $1000 swap just went out the window. I would spend the money on doing a nice performance rebuild on the engine in your truck. You will be way ahead and spend less money.
