Rear O2's

I could swear that the rear 02's are wired the same as the front - @ the plug end on the sensor itself .

So I wired it the same . I didn't get a chance to look at the old ones before I wired new ones -(don't ask), so I was kind of lost there..

Can anybody confirm the wiring is the same as the front at the plug end of the sensor itself?

I'm getting PO420 and 430 codes , so I want to double check I wired that correctly.

Thanx

brew, not sure about the wiring, can look tomorrow. Are you thinking that the new cats are setting the codes? I saw somewhere about O2 spacers to help with the CEL problem. Found the link: http://www.scoobymods.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5468

I never would have found that , nor have I seen anything like that - yea , his configuration is like mine. Mann , how did anyone figure out that fix?

Great torkum , you may have saved me a ton of work ..

Hope it works cause I'm going with headers [now longtube] and highflow cats. In my research I run across this info and thought it might be valuable if the codes came up.

FWIW, cat efficiency codes are NOT caused by faulty downstreams....

The spark plug anti-foulers or MIL eliminators will help in getting rid of those codes, though.

I buy the rear sensors, longer wires, to use in the front so they are the same.

Mann , thanx allot for the info fellas , that really helps.

Yea , I dumped about a gallon Windex on the pipes - shoved an air hose in the exit only hole and put about about 10 lbs to her - She blew bubbles at just about every joint. - Cheap arse clamps..

I have a bag full of those GOOD band clamps this time and I 'm going to eliminate a few seams for a quick fix I hope - That way , I can take my time learning how to weld - Think I'm going with a Miller wire feed , can't wait for that !!..

It was leaking enough to cause the codes is what I'm thinking - That was in JMC's list of posibilities, I bet that's the problem .

Mann , those cheap muffler clamps are junk !! The clamps I just picked up are guaranteed not to leak - 10 bucks apiece tho  Well, this should be good enough for now..

My rear O2's are right then

Thanks again guys, that really helped me out. :beers:

Nah , I'm learning to many invaluable lessons - Like - What NOT to do :D

I'm determined now - next time I pressurize it- the pistons are going to start shaking and the plugs will go into launch mode.. - She's ain't going to leak a peep from these pipes this time around....
