cleaning MAF on 04-newer results??

cleaning MAF on 04-newer results??

thinking about cleaning mine. recently my mpg fell by about 2 or 3 mpg and i havent changed anything. so i figured i would give it a shot. have any of you guys tried cleaning your MAF. if so did it help?

I cleaned mine at about 30,000. About time to do it again, I'm right at 55,000. I can't say I noticed any difference, just did it as part of routine maintenance, when I cleaned my K&N drop in.

that is the only thing i can think of that may have caused such a drastic drop in mpg. like i said i havent changed anything, and been driving the same. you have any other suggestions as to why my milage would have dropped like that?

My mileage has dropped on the last 3 or 4 tanks. I guess it could be the MAS. Don't think my lead foot has been any worse. I just figured it was ethanol.
